Community Garden

Our Mission Statement is to invite neighboring communities to join in the planting and growing of organic vegetables at the Community Garden at St. Matthias Lutheran Church for consumption and sharing. Families grow their own food and can share their bounty with the whole Westmoreland County by donating to the Westmoreland County Food Bank. In its first year, we donated 109lbs of food. In our 8th year (2024),  we donated 1399lbs of produce and $550 dollars donated to the Westmoreland County Food Bank. We have closed our garden for this year, and will be having an open house in April 2025 to begin our garden for next year. Please fill out an application if you're interested in participating
