About Us
Mission Statement
The Mission of St. Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church is to allow God to lead us to be a growing community of Christ's faithful disciples and to joyfully proclaim the good news of God's grace and love to all.
Statement of Values
Responding to the love and mercy of God in our own lives, we of St. Matthias Evangelical Lutheran Church are Disciples of Christ Jesus. We are committed to the growing in our discipleship through worshiping, and serving God, and following Jesus' teachings. We hear the Word of God, receive the Sacraments, pray and serve our church community as well as neighbors near and far, fostering spirituality and faithful living.
We are called to go as messengers of God and minister to those in physical and spiritual need, inviting them to hear God's word, know God's grace, and become disciples of Christ, that together we may worship, serve, and witness.
As members of the church body we commit ourselves to using the gifts and resources God has given us, seeking to do God's will and helping one another so that we may become a healthy body that God's kingdom may grow in our midst.
